Jungheinrich is a premium manufacturer of forklift trucks and provider of warehouse solutions across the UK. Following an introduction from Warrington Business Exchange, who recommended my services, Head of Sales, Kevin Barber, asked me to deliver a LinkedIn training programme at their offices in Birchwood, Warrington.
The brief
The training was for ten employees in the National Sales team. Kevin was keen for his team to learn how to use LinkedIn to generate new business enquiries. We planned in a half day training session, with a follow up a month later to make the team accountable, to ensure the training was implemented.
The training
I delivered a three-hour interactive and engaging training session for the team at their base in Westbrook. The sales managers brought their laptops, so they could respond to challenges I set them during the session. I also set some tasks to complete in their own time during the month before our follow-up session. They worked together as a team but were also competing against each another to achieve targets.

Working as a team to boost visibility of content
Creating content to enable cross selling opportunities
Using content to drive enquiries from new customers
Measuring performance
After the first session, I encouraged delegates to ‘ask me anything’ via LinkedIn messaging – another chance to get active on the platform. After four weeks, I returned to run a one-hour session designed to review the learning, analyse data and answer any further questions.
The results
The team noticed an immediate impact after week one, with three people enquiring about their products. And after four weeks, the group collectively achieved:
130% increase in post views (5000 increase)
More than 1000 new followers gained
70% increase in profile views
An upturn in team members found in searches
The sales team now has an increased LinkedIn presence, with more prospective clients seeing their content. All ten sales managers are more comfortable using LinkedIn as part of their role and feel confident using it to generate new business enquiries.
